Totally Renewable Yackandandah (TRY)

Totally Renewable Yackandandah is a 100% volunteer run community group, formed in 2014, with the goal of powering this small Victorian town with 100% renewable energy and achieving energy sovereignty by 2022.

TRY will work alongside organisations, businesses, individuals and energy stakeholders across the community to reduce energy consumption, and to enable renewable energy generation and storage.

TRY is committed to assisting members of the local community to not only implement strategies to reduce household and business energy consumption, but also eliminate the consumption of fossil fuels by sourcing, generating and storing electricity from renewable sources.

There are three key goals ;

To reduce our carbon emissions;

To invigorate the economy across the area; and

Build a more resilient electricity supply.
